Jesse Owens won four gold medals at the 1936 Summer Olympics. Adolf created soccer shoes with interchangeable cleats later on. Rudolph and his brother split in 1947. Rudolph opened Ruda, which later became Puma. In 1949, Adolf registered adidas AG as his company and the story of the classic black soccer shoe was born. Adidas soccer cleats were worn by 75% of the players at the 1966 FIFA World Cup. This was an incredible achievement for the company.
